Standard Gregorian calendars consist of 365 days, but an actual astronomical year (the time it takes Earth to orbit the Sun) is roughly 365.2422 days. To offset this fraction, we add an extra day to February every four years (Leap Year). However, to prevent drifts, century years (e.g. 1900, 2100) are only leap years if they are divisible by 400.
